The 2012 Golden Globe Nominations ARE........

Awards season kicked off in earnest today, December 15, 2011, as the 69th annual Golden Globes, airing Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/5 PT on NBC nominations were announced. 

George Clooney was the BIG winner as "The Descendants" and "The Ides of March" are nominated nine times, and both films are among the six nominated for best drama. Clooney is also a contender for best actor in a drama for his "Descendants" role and for best director and best screenplay for "The Ides of March."
