Giants WIN Super Bowl 46: Now get 2 Parades in New York & New Jersey

So the New Jersey / New York Giants won Super Bowl 46 beating the New England Patriots 21-17.

Now the battle as to where the parade's will be!

There will be TWO.

PARADE #1 = NEW YORK
The Super Bowl victory parade will step off at Battery Place and Washington Street at 11 a.m., heading northbound up the stretch of Broadway known as the Canyon of Heroes, to Worth Street, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced. The parade will be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, where the mayor will present the Giants with keys to the city.
PARADE #2 = New Jersey

Following the ceremony, the Giants will board busses and return to New Jersey, where Giants players, coaches and owners and Gov. Chris Christie will celebrate the title in the team’s home, MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford New Jersey.

Parking Lots F and G will be open to the public beginning at 11 a.m. and the stadium gates will open three hours later. The celebration on the MetLife Stadium field is expected to run from 3-3:30 p.m. Concession stands will be open.

Gov. Chris Christie announced the rally at MetLife Stadium in a tweet today, saying "All Giants fans in NJ should be there if you can."

In what was a riveting game on Sunday January 22, 2012 between the New York New Jersey Giants and the San Francisco 49ers, the Giants won on mistakes on two punt return fumbles by Kyle Williams.

Eli Manning was not the hero as he has been in so many fourth quarters this season.

In a game marked by incredible defense by both teams, the Giants held the 49ers to an unbelievable 1-13 8% on third down conversions, the 49ers D held the Giants to 7-21 33%.

In the end though it was two big mistakes by the 49ers Kyle Williams in the fourth quarter that lead to two turnovers for the Giants that won the game for them. Both on punts, one he should have stayed away from but the ball did grazed ever so slightly his knee (see photo).

The other he did not have full grasp of the ball and Giants' Jacquian Williams took advantage knocking the ball loose leading to the OT field goal by Lawrence Tynes (photo).

Kenny Williams the father of Kyle said on Monday that his son was receiving death threats and also said that his son was spending Monday getting treatment for a shoulder injury he suffered during the third quarter.

Now the Giants go on to play the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 46.

But too me I ask the question, Are they the "NEW YORK" or the "NEW JERSEY" Giants?

Lets look at the facts as to team history :

They played there last game in New York in 1975 playing in She Stadium because Yankee Stadium was under going renovations. They then moved across the Hudson River in 1976 to the New Jersey Medowlands  Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Since their move to New Jersey in 1976, fans from each state have claimed the team as their own. In January 1987, shortly before the team won Super Bowl XXI, then New York City mayor Ed Koch labeled the team "foreigners" and said they were not entitled to a ticker-tape parade in New York City. On February 5, 2008, the city, under mayor Michael Bloomberg, threw a ticker tape parade in honor of the Giants' Super Bowl XLII victory at the Canyon of Heroes in lower Manhattan.

A separate rally was held at Giants Stadium in East rutherford New Jersey.

According to a team spokesman, 52 percent of the Giants' season ticket-holders lived in New Jersey. Most of the remaining ticket holders lived in New York State with some coming from other states.

The Giants now not only play in New Jersey but have now built a state of the art training facility, The  Timex Performance Center in East Rutherford. There corporate offices are now all in New Jersey. As well as most players, coaches and those that are employed by them live in New Jersey. Alll the tax money generated does not benefit New York in any way.

The Giants are NEW YORK in name only!

BUT, they wont change it. Even though Gov. Chris Christie came out and said," If the Giants win the Super Bowl any parade should be held in NEW JERSEY. The only reason they keep the NEW YORK in Giants is marketing and selling merchandise to those fans who still believe they have a New York Football team!

Wake up NEW YORK! You only have ONE professional football team in your state, THE BUFFALO BILLS!
